Thank you parents and carers for all the support over the year. Your children are amazing and have been a pleasure to teach. I hope everyone has a great summer and enjoy their new classes. GO DOLPHINS!
THAT IS THE END OF THE 5TH HALF TERM! What a half term it has been! I want to say a huge well done to the year 2 children in the class who completed their 'quizzes' this half term. It showed me how amazing and grown up they all were and how much progress they have made. Thank you year 1s who have also been working really hard getting ready for their phonic quiz. What a great class I have! I hope everyone has a lovely half term break and that the weather stays amazing. ONE MORE HALF TERM TO GO! Don't forget to read the new curriculum leaflet and knowledge organiser for our new topic, 'Terrific tales.'
Welcome back! We hope you had a great Easter. Welcome to the summer term. Please read the knowledge organiser and curriculum leaflet below to find out what we are learning this half term.
That is the end of another half term. This has been a really busy half term but the children have done amazing. Looking at all their learning has made me so proud of how far they have come. I hope you all have a great Easter break and a well earned rest. The children have a small learning pack which I hope they can complete over the break. HAPPY EASTER.
That is the end of the first term. What a term it has been! I am so lucky to teach my class and watch them grow as learners. We have learnt about amazing animals and then had three weeks around christmas. All the children performed brilliantly. Thank you for all your support at home, especially with reading. Please keep reading their library books over the christmas break. I hope you all have a wonderful christmas and a happy new year.
Thank you for all those who walked with us or met us at the church. It was lovely to see all the children together. Well done for all the readers who helped retell the Christmas story. It has been a long two weeks but the children are still singing our Christmas songs beautifully. We hope you all have a brilliant Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Thank you for all those who attended our 'AMAZING ANIMALS' round up. We have had a great four weeks learning about different animals. We ended up writing facts and riddles about these animals and then created one out of clay. Well done Dolphins. Now onto our Christmas topic.
WHAT AN AMAZING HALF TERM! I am so proud of my class and all the learning they have done this half term. The class have loved our learning around space, including learning about Neil Armstrong and Katherine Johnson. The class are brilliant and I have a great team to work with over this year. I hope everyone has a great half term. Our new topic is called AMAZING ANIMALS and the curriculum leaflet and knowledge organiser for that topic is above. Please read to find out about our learning next half term. WELL DONE DOLPHINS!
WHAT A GREAT ROUND UP! I was so proud watching my class say their facts to the parents who came in. That is a big skill and shows how amazing they are. That is the end of our space topic. We have learnt about Neil Armstrong and Katherine Johnson and why they were significant people in the past. They helped shape space travel. We now have a week around Harvest before a well earned break. Thank you parents and carers who came in to see our round up! Dolphins.....keep being amazing!
It has been amazing seeing the new Dolphin class together. All the children have been amazing and have settled in well. Please read the curriculum leaflet and knowledge organiser below to find out all about our topic 'SPACE'. Thank you for your enquires about reading books. We have changed our phonics teaching and there are books that match the sounds they are covering in the taught lessons. We are starting the programme on Monday 12th, so new books will go out then. We will be sending out information regarding how to support your child, while reading these books, soon. We will also have a meet the teacher chat in school at some point next week, (week beginning Monday 12th, date to be confirmed), to tell you all about the school day. If you have any questions, please grab myself at the class door before or after school.
