Welcome to our school

Welcome from our Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers,

My name is Trina Sillence and I am the head teacher at Eling Infant School and Nursery. I have been at Eling lnfant and Nursery for many years, and have taught across all the year groups. My own children and nephews came to Eling, which shows how confident I am that we are a great school with which to start your child's learning journey.

At Eling we are immensely proud of the work we do everyday for our community and our families.

We are blessed with an amazing team of skilled staff and we are full of fantastic children, who are a

joy to spend every day with.

I am confident that if you choose Eling as the start of your child's education you will be happy with your choice. Our children are super learners who really care about their peers. The environment and

staff nurture the children and help them grow to become confident, kind and resilient learners.

Our latest Ofsted inspection in November 2019 recognised the work we do stating that “Eling Infant

School and Nursery Is a happy place to learn.”

One parent wrote “This is a lovely school, with a family feel, who put the children at the heart of what they do.”

Please do explore the website and get a feel of who we are and what we can provide, and do contact the school office with any questions.

Kind regards

Mrs Trina Sillence, Headteacher

Welcome from our Chair of Governors

Hello everyone, and the warmest of welcomes to all of our prospective new parents and carers,

Let me introduce myself; I am the Chair of Governors for the school. You may see me wandering around school or talking with Mrs Sillence and our staff, I am very approachable.

Governors are normal people with a passion for ensuring that our school always strives to be the best for our children, and most of us, myself included, have had our children start their learning journey here at Eling. For our new prospective children, I hope that you find your own place at Eling, somewhere where you can start to grow and blossom. In return, we will provide you with all the support you may need to start your journey through your learning years.

We are a small school but with a big heart in the community. I believe we are an exceptional school, with talented staff who have an immense passion teaching and special children who make it so enjoyable to be a part of our school.

With warmest regards

Sam Carr, Chair of Governors
