Key Stage 1 (Seals and Seahorses) 2023-2024

That is the end of the year! What a year it has been! When we think back to September, to now, we can see how much all the children have grown as learners. We have so many memories from this year, from the topic Great Fire of London, to Pirate day, to the year 2s at Go Ape. It is always sad to say goodbye to our year 2s but we know they will be amazing at their new schools. Thank you all for your support with their learning. We hope you all have a great summer and have a well earned rest. Please keep going with reading, including doing the Totton library reading challenge. For the year 1s going into year 2, there will be a new section called 'Seals, Seahorses and Dolphins 2024-2025'. Information regarding our topic 'Space' in September will be in there.

WELL DONE EVERYONE!

From the Seals and Seahorse team.

What a fantastic trip to Boldwerwood! The children were amazing and we learned so much about the New Forest. Thank you Amy and Helen for taking our classes around the forest. We were so pleased with the attitude of everyone and they were a credit to our school. GO ELING!

Sports day! Thank you children, parents and carers for such a wonderful sports day 2024. It was a fantastic day celebrating sports in our school. Thank you for such an amazing turn out and your continued support!

Well done to our tennis players for a great tennis festival! You all had a fantastic time and learnt some new skills and games!

Welcome back! We hope you all had a super break. Our topic is now 'Forests'. We have a busy first week back with sports day and a trip to Boldwerwood. We can't believe it is our last half term. Kids.....one more push!!!

That is the end of another half term! Treasure Island has seen us come in as pirates and learn how to be successful pirates. We have loved watching the children grow as learners, especially the independence they are now showing. ONLY 1 HALF TERM TO GO! Our next topic is called 'Forests' and we are lucky to have a trip on the first week back to Boldwerwood to experience our New Forest. (Thursday 6th).

The children all deserve a well earned break ready to tackle the last half term. This half term will have lots of learning, but will also think about the transitions the children will be taking as they move year groups. If you are worried about these transitions, please come in and talk to the adults around school. Please read the curriculum leaflet and knowledge organiser above to find out what the children will be learning after half term.

We hope you all have a super break!

Ahoy there shipmates! We've had a great start to Summer Term.
