Welcome back. It has been great seeing all the class back together. Welcome to the last half term! I can't believe this is nearly the end of the year. This half term our topic is 'FORESTS'. We are lucky to live near the New Forest and we are going to learn about our local forest, and then compare to rainforests around the world. With this is mind, we have our trips this week to Bolderwood. What a great way to start the half term!
What a fantastic end to the half term! The children really enjoyed celebrating our Jubilee party. This half term has been crazy, especially for our year 2s. They have had to do 4 SATs papers after two very difficult years and did so amazingly. I am so proud of the independent learners they have become. Also, thank you for the year 1s who made space for them to tackle these quizzes. It has been a brilliant topic, 'TREASURE ISLAND'. It all started with our pirates day and ended with our Jubilee party. It is strange to think that next half term is our last half term together. I hope everyone has a lovely half term and a super rest. We will see you on Monday 6th June.
What a super half term! The children have loved learning about Africa. It all started with Kwame coming in and ended with a fantastic music concert and Easter Bonnet parade. Thank you to Mrs Constance for all her hard work teaching the children to play tuned percussion instruments, and to all of the parents/carers who helped the children create their fantastic Easter bonnets. The children loved our story 'Lila and the Secret of Rain' and they did a great job at retelling the story with their own changes. Along with the new playground, we have had an amazing time! We hope you all have a super Easter break. The new topic curriculum leaflet and knowledge organiser will be up soon, so please read to find out about our next topic. Don't forget that on the first day back, Monday 25th April, we are having a 'pirates day', so we look forward to seeing them dressed as a pirate for their training. HAPPY EASTER!

What a crazy way to end a crazy half term! The children have done so well to adapt to any changes this half term and have done us both proud. The children thoroughly enjoyed our 'Bodies' topic and have worked so hard together to see what bodies need to be healthy, on the inside and out. They have all been able to take something away from the topic to strive for a healthier lifestyle, which is so important. Well done Seals! Have a lovely half term and stay safe. See you soon for our next amazing topic...Africa!
Well done Seals - what a wonderful first term! We hope that you have a great Christmas and a fantastic New Year! Please have a read of the curriculum leaflet and knowledge organiser above ready for our new topic of Bodies. Please go through the knowledge organiser vocabulary and discuss these words with your children. See you in January!
Wow - what a busy week! Well done Seals! You were amazing in the nativity and the recorder concert! We have enjoyed a super Christmas dinner and Christmas party as well!
For our round-up for our Great Fire of London topic we have produced an interactive museum to show all the history we have learnt! We hope that you enjoy hearing all about it!
As we have reached the end of our first half term, we would like to say a huge well done to Seals Class! Everyone has settled in to our new class amazingly and you should all be proud of yourselves for how well you have adapted to the change. You have completed some fantastic learning this half term and we hope you enjoyed our Bog Baby topic. The knowledge organiser and curriculum leaflet are now available for next half term to prepare you for our next awesome topic!
Have a relaxing break and we look forward to seeing you in November.
